Los Angeles FC star Son Heung-min has become the second-highest-paid player in Major League Soccer, earning $10.4m in salary and $11.2m in total compensation, according to new figures.
Son joined LAFC in August after 10 years with Tottenham Hotspur and quickly made an impact, scoring nine goals in 10 MLS matches. Only Lionel Messi earns more, with the Inter Miami captain receiving $12m in salary and $20.4m in total compensation under his current deal, which now runs through 2028.
Other high-profile MLS earners include Rodrigo De Paul ($1.5m/$3.6m), Hirving “Chucky” Lozano ($6m/$7.6m), Jonathan Bamba ($5m/$5.6m), Wilfried Zaha ($2.7m/$2.8m), and Thomas Müller ($1.3m/$1.4m).
