To ensure their safe return, NASA arranged for them to depart aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule instead.

Crew-9 Prepares for Return to Earth: With Crew-10 taking over station duties, Crew-9 is now preparing for their journey back to Earth. Wilmore, Williams, NASA astronaut Nick Hague, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov are scheduled to depart aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule on March 19. The returning crew will splash down off Florida’s coast after completing their mission.
