Arsenal have agreed a new five-year contract with Bukayo Saka that will make him one of the highest-paid players in the club’s history. The deal, expected to be confirmed soon, will run until 2031 and significantly improves on the contract Saka signed in 2023, which was due to expire in 2027. His new agreement is understood to be worth more than £15m a year, reflecting Arsenal’s view of his importance as they push for major honours. Securing Saka’s future was a priority for sporting director Andrea Berta, following long-term extensions for several other key players. The Hale End academy graduate has been central to Arsenal’s strong Premier League form this season and has repeatedly spoken of his desire to win trophies with the club. Manager Mikel Arteta previously expressed confidence that Saka would commit his future, praising both his development and leadership role. Arsenal are also considering improved terms for Declan Rice, while defensive reinforcements such as Marc Guéhi remain a longer-term target.
