Barcelona have identified Harry Kane as their leading candidate to succeed Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires in June 2026.
The Spanish champions reportedly view the 32-year-old England captain as the ideal long-term replacement for the 37-year-old Pole and are considering triggering a £57m release clause in Kane’s Bayern Munich contract next summer.
Since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for £100m, Kane has been prolific, scoring 108 goals in 113 appearances and helping the club reclaim the Bundesliga title. Despite being open to extending his stay in Germany, the opportunity to join another global powerhouse could tempt him.
Barcelona already have Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United, with an option to make the move permanent for £30m.
Club president Joan Laporta also addressed rumours of a Lionel Messi return, dismissing them as “unrealistic” despite the Argentine’s recent visit to the Camp Nou.
